There were 43 in attendance to hear ASA members Mike Poggi (Pinnacle Insurance Partners) and Steve Hilger (Hilger and Hammond, PC) present a timely seminar titled “Hunkering Down: 10 Strategies to Survive in a Down Economy.” Steve Hilger asked three questions vital for surviving in the present economy and covered other subjects such as lien and bond claims, retention dollars, the application process, Stop-Work option and Change Order provision. Mike Poggi shared further strategies for surviving a down economy, including a review of your insurance classification, and a fresh look at deductibles, fleet and property insurance, appraisals and claims, and choosing an agent.
