An audience of 43 attended the ASAM General Membership meeting on May 19 to hear guest speaker Birgit Klohs, President and CEO of The Right Place, Inc.

Klohs has been with The Right Place for 23 years. Although she’s had opportunities to go elsewhere, she has always elected to stay in Grand Rapids. “I love this region, I love representing this region,” she said. Longevity is important in Klohs’ role because knowing (and being known by) the business community is critical to business retention, expansion and attraction efforts.
