May 2011 General Membership Meeting

There were 35 in attendance at the ASAM general membership meeting on May 11 to hear Birgit Klohs, president and CEO of The Right Place, speak on “Advancing the West Michigan Economy.”

The Right Place was founded in 1985 by private business leaders to promote wealth creation and economic growth. It’s a private non-profit that receives 75% of its budget from private companies. It operates on a five-year strategic plan and funding cycle. Klohs elements of that five-year plan and answered questions posed by members of the audience.
