Construction Advancement Forum: Lakewood Construction

At the April general membership meeting there were about three dozen in the audience to hear a Construction Advancement Forum featuring Lakewood Construction, two-time nominees for the COTY Awards. Representing the construction company were Jim Stroop, President; Bob McFarlane, VP of Operations; Dave Ash, Director of Sales; Dave Schuitema, Controller; and Larry Borman, Superintendent.

Lakewood Construction started out as a small general contractor in 1971 and three times outgrew its facilities, necessitating moves. Their work is primarily located in northern and West Michigan. Lakewood is involved in:

• General Contracting
• Construction Management
• Design / Build
• Remodeling Projects
• Pre-engineered Steel Erection
• Some development work
