November 2012 General Membership Meeting

Steve Heacock, Sr. Vice President of Community Affairs for Spectrum Health, spoke to an audience of forty at ASAM's November general membership meeting. His topic was “Lessons Learned from the Medical Mile.” The Medical Mile, Heacock said, is an example of self-determining as a community and making something happen rather than relying on the government to do it for you: “We know where we want to go and how we're going to get there and not depend on anyone else.”
